We love our therapists

Nathan and Owen are so blessed with great therapists. I have often said, "if they had to be born early, I am glad they were so early". For this reason they were automatically referred to Newborn Follow-Up Clinic and PT/OT at Children's Hospital. (Children's Hospital later referred them to Hand In Hand early intervention, so we now get seen at home.) I can't imagine NOT having my boys in therapy. The therapist know so much and are working so diligently with the boys. Had we not been referred to therapy, I never would have been able to tell all the little things the boys need. The therapy is not only helping them now, but with their life long development.

Kristi, our PT with Hand In Hand, comes to our house once every two weeks. We are always so proud to show her the new skills the boys have acquired. It is the skills she has taught us to do with them on her previous visit. Especially over the last month we have really seen the boys develop and they are doing wonderful new things that are age appropriate for their "corrected age". We know with her help, and of course a lot of prayer for the boys, we are going to get them doing activities at their actual age.

Owen also gets to see, Sally, his developmental therapist from his time in the NICU. She sees private patients on Wednesday morning, well for only one more week. She has referred us to Jane, so we will start up with Jane on the 21st. It always amazes us what Sally can do with her stretching and massaging of Owen. Owen has lots of tight spots, just something that is par for the course with a preemie. Sally works her magic and Owen gets loosened up. It is amazing to see how much better he moves and how much more relaxed he is after a visit to Sally. We will miss not seeing Sally every week but are looking forward to our time with Jane. Sally check Nathan but he is not as tense as Owen, so that is why is was only seeing Owen.

More therapists to come...once they boys are ready they will have speech therapy too.
