Praising with confidence in the darkerst hours

The other day in Sunday School class our teacher asked how much discomfort we would really take before we stopped praising God.  With everyone being honest some said, "probably not much".  I did not answer aloud, but honestly my answer was different.  I can't imagine there is anything that could happen to me where I would stop praising God.  You see, God has blessed me with an incredible perspective and reliance on Him.  He has incredibly blessed my life, but with a constant eternal perspective.

Through our sudden move home from China, the birth of the triplets at 24 weeks, the loss of Mia, the LONG NICU stay, multiple surgeries, wonderful mission experiences, daily living and the list goes on and on God has always proven Himself faithful.  When we are at our darkest hours I never dream to stop praising God but rely on Him more and more.  It is in these times that my faith grows stronger and closer to Him.  God has never left me, but is walking with me every time.

We were met with another gut-wrenching hard past few days.  As I felt my world in an uncontrollable tailspin, I could look to God.   I knew that He was in control of my situation.  I know that He is bigger than the evil forces around us that are seeking to destroy us.  He blessed our family with so many incredible friends and family who were on their knees praying for us.  I know He heard the prayers of His righteous children and answered them.  For those of you who knew our situation and stood with us and knelt before the throne of our Almighty God on the behalf of our family, I thank you.

If you are reading this and don't have a personal relationship with God, I encourage you to seek Him, learn more and more about Him and trust Him as your Savior.  He desires you, He wants to walk beside you and He wants to carry your burdens.  Please let me know if you have any questions, I would love to talk to you about trusting God as your Savior.
