Mr Duren's Opus

Today we gathered to honor Mr Duren for his 37 years as a band director. There was a wonderful reception with hundreds of people in attendance. It was great to see so many high school friends. The real highlight was the opus band my wonderful husband put together. We had over 100 players who had played under Mr Duren over the past 37 years. With just a few practices we were able to play "Salvation Is Created", "Pines of Rome" and "Russian Christmas". It was a wonderful afternoon that I will always remember very fondly.
