The Boys are doing well and getting stronger. Owen gained 85 grams last night which puts him up to 3lbs 1 oz and Nathan gained 50 grams making him 2lb 13 oz. Nathan is only 10 grams away from being able to wear clothes. Owen hates wearing his nasal canula. He pulls it out of his nose every chance he gets. Some times he will try to get away with just one prong in his nose. He does pretty well with just one or no prongs, so maybe he is telling us he will be ready to breath without it soon. Nathan is doing well on his CPAP / canula rotation. He is requiring very little oxygen settings on them. Logan was with us during our visit yesterday (no school on Friday). Logan was siting on my lap and we were talking with Nathan. Logan said to Nathan: "Hi Nathan. I am your big brother, Logan. I used to be two but now I am three. I have a garage door down here (he brought his garage door toy) and I am going to let you and Owen play with it" (Yeah, already planning to share....and the garage door!!!!)
Prayer Request: Both boys need to gain weight, a minimum of 100 grams per week. Both boys need to makes lots of progress getting off their oxygen. Nathan has some eye issues. They are staying consistent right now. If they improve over the next few weeks he will not need eye injections but if they worsen he will. Please pray for improvement. Please also pray for the healing of Nathan's hand and the complete removal of his PVL in his brain. Thank you for your faithful prayers. It really makes a difference in the lives of our boys!
