Christmas present from Dr. Mena (warning these will be some of the most precious pictures you will ever see)

Every day is a gift from the Lord and every day seeing Nathan, Owen and Logan reminds of us this gift. The boys are doing well today and we have been blessed to say that several times this week. They are making baby steps of progress but when your feet are less than 2 inches, how much more could you ask? Today Dr. Mena gave us one of the best Christmas presents, we got to HOLD Owen!!!! It was so wonderful. He really seemed to love it too.Of course we got to spend some wonderful time with Nathan too. We have not been able to hold him yet, but we are hoping to be able to do it sometime soon.

  1. YEAH!!! Congratulation on the boys doing so well. I can't even imagine how exciting it was to get to hold Owen after just being able to look at him. Hopefully Nathan won't be too far behind him. God is great. Thank you both so much for sharing your family. It is truly insprirational to read how the boys are doing, and how well Logan is adjusting to school. God has a special purpose for your family, and I am truly blessed to get to follow along.

  2. OH MY!!!! They are so tiny, like little dolls! They are adorable. Isaac, with authority in his voice, pointed out they are hurt and in the hospital. He would know. What a wonderful Christmas present.

  4. My husband and I are friends of Bob and Libby Loehr. They shared your blog with us. We, too, are on a very similar journey you are on. Our twin boys, Joseph and Campbell, were born on 10/31/09 at 24 weeks. Campbell was with us for 23 beautiful days. Joseph remains in the NICU and will be there until February. Reading your blog, I feel like I am reading about our own journey through the NICU. What an emotional roller coaster it is. We are praying for your precious boys and pray that they continue to grow strong.
