We had another great visit to the orphanage today. We played outside for about 2 1/2 hours. Logan came with us again. He absolutely loves playing with Karis. They are playing very well together. Today we taught her how to ride in piggy back style. The funny thing is she really wanted Logan to carry her on his back. She is the same size as Logan, if not an inch or two taller. Every day we are with her our bonding seems to grown deeper and deeper.
When we arrived at the orphanage we looked for the social worker and then the director. We could not find either of them. The other kids know we are going to adopt Karis, so they went and got her and brought her to us. It's nice that they know we are going to be her parents. There are several nice kids at the orphanage. I wish we spoke a lot more Russian so we could communicate better with them.
Everyone we have met in her town has been very nice. They all seem to be working hard to get all of the paperwork in order for the adoption. Our Lifeline facilitator here in Ukraine is great. He is so good at getting things done for us.
Here is a picture of Preston's lunch, borsht. It is yummy.
For those of you who are curious as to where we are in the country. We are the red dot. The red area is the oblast (or state).
