Christmas at the Hites

Santa visited our house last night.  Logan was so excited he made sure everyone was in bed early.  He then woke me up at 5:00, but since everyone else was asleep I convinced him to rest in bed with Preston and I until 6:00.  All the kids loved opening their presents and praying with them all day.

Seeing the present from Mom and Dad for the first time.
We all enjoyed a yummy pancake and strawberry breakfast together.
The trampoline is the gift from Mom and Dad.

Using some of her color wonder book from Santa.
Nathan loves his Disney Planes action shifter toy.  He can play it all by himself, and loves it.
The Freis and Watts came over for lunch.  We enjoyed a delicious lunch and fun opening presents.

Busy enjoying life

We are busy enjoying life!  This is one of my favorite times of year.

On November 14th, Nathan and Owen turned 5.  We had a small birthday party for them this year, but no less fun.  They enjoyed having family and a few really close family friends over to celebrate.  Our theme this year was school buses!  Nathan is absolutely in love with the school bus.

The boys also celebrated at school!  They enjoyed eating school bus cookies with their friends and having Preston and I there for lunch and story time.

We decided to add a few furry friends to our family.  Logan has been wanting pets, so we decided dogs would be good.  I did lots of research and we decided on King Charles Cavaliers.  A few weeks ago we took a road trip and adopted these two: Marlie and Charlie.  They are brother and sister.  They are 10 years old, so WAY PAST the puppy phase.  They are totally trained, lay around and sleep most of the day and are wonderful with all four kids.  Logan is doing an incredible job taking care of them...and he has decided that dogs are pretty good after all....just not big ones yet!

Nathan and Owen enjoy going crazy in the ball pit.

We enjoyed a special visit with our friends, the Cooks.  We miss seeing them!

Karis is spending some extra time at home with me over the next couple of months.  Today she was a great running partner...just give her Oreos and LaLa.  She really enjoyed riding in the stroller.

Yesterday we went for a long walk.  I wanted to be sure she is getting good exercise since she is not getting PE every day.
